Developer of Red Dead Redemption Hiring for New Project

May 22, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

One job listing seeks someone who can “integrate dynamic multiplayer.”

Through a series of job listings, it appears Rockstar San Diego is hiring for a couple positions for an unconfirmed new project.

One such job listing mentions a need for someone that can “integrate dynamic multiplayer into all aspects of gameplay” in “a Rockstar open world game.”

A job listing for an animation programmer lists both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One specifically, suggesting the unknown project will be available on both platforms.

Whether or not this unnamed project is a sequel to the popular Rockstar San Diego title Red Dead Redemption, which featured an open world western setting – complete with cowboys, horses, and more – remains to be seen. Given the success of Red Dead Redemption, however, it would not be surprising if their next game was a sequel.

Following Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar San Diego has worked on L.A. Noire (along with Team Bondi and Rockstar North), Max Payne 3 (along with Rockstar Studios), and Grand Theft Auto 5 (along with Rockstar North and Rockstar Studios).

Have you been waiting for a sequel to Red Dead Redemption? The game was released in 2010, so anyone who enjoyed its first entry, has probably been hoping for a sequel since. Let us know in the comments below what you think of a sequel to Red Dead Redemption? Would you want it at all and, if so, what do you want to see in a sequel?
