Ultra Street Fighter 4 Out on PS4 Next Week, Supports PS3 FightSticks

May 22, 2015 by Stephen Daly

PS3 input lag eliminated for PS4 version.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 will be released on PlayStation 4 on Tuesday, May 26th and the game will support licensed PS3 FightSticks, meaning you won't need to spend hundreds to use your preferred controller.

Sony's Gio Corsi wrote on the PlayStation Blog that, "Ultra Street Fighter 4 will support PS4 FightSticks, of course. But we’ve also included Lab Zero’s drivers so that USFIV will support licensed PS3 FightSticks as well."

Developer Lab Zero and Naughty Dog programmer John "Cowboy" Bellomy worked together last year to create a custom driver which reads any generic USB gamepad or joystick as being compatible with the PS4 version of fighting game Skullgirls Encore.

The game will output at 1080p and 60fps, with the minor input lag which affected the PS3 version being eliminated. Ultra Street Fighter 4 will cost £19.99/€24.99/$24.99 on the PlayStation Store.
