Free EA Access Offered By Microsoft, All You Have To Do Is Refer A Friend to Xbox One

May 20, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

Because that $30 should go towards buying more pizza instead.

EA Access usually costs around $30 for a year’s subscription. This buys you unlimited access to numerous EA titles, and maybe even the chance to try out certain games ahead of everybody else. Depending on where you live, $30 can buy a little or a lot.

Microsoft has launched a new promo: Xbox One users can get a free 12-month EA Access subscription, just for referring a friend to Xbox One. EA Access lets you pick through The Vault, which holds a selection of EA titles for Xbox One that subscribers can download and play any time they want. This selection includes EA’s best Xbox One games: EA Sports UFC, Madden NFL 15, Battlefield 4, Need For Speed Rivals, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, with more titles to be added in the future.

This isn’t a free-for-all, though. It seems to be available only to those chosen thru email.  The promotion nabs both you and your friend free access after they’ve purchased the Xbox One with a unique code. The purchase must be made from the Microsoft store, and only the bundle that contains the 500GB Xbox One in black, a copy of Forza Horizon 2, and a 3-month membership to Xbox Live qualifies for this promotion.

Want to know if you’ve gotten lucky? Check the email address you’ve linked to your Xbox Live account.
