Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Gets 8GB Patch

May 20, 2015 by Stephen Daly

The Pre-Sequel also updated on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Gearbox Software has released a new update for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Handsome Collection includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the latter of which has also been updated on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Xbox One owners have a 7.7GB download to look forward to, while the PS4 patch comes in at more than 9GB. In the patch notes, Gearbox said the size of the patch varies between PS4 and Xbox One due to "very large due to the nature of the performance-improving fixes".

The update adds support for the DualShock 4's Light Bar on PlayStation 4, the colour of which will alter depending on the elemental type of the weapon being used.

Both versions of the game now include the unlockable Poker Night 2 head and skin customisation options.

This patch follows a 16GB day one patch for the game on Xbox One and an 8GB patch on PS4. It was recently confirmed that the Borderlands franchise has sold 25 million copies to date.
