Borderlands and BioShock Publisher 2K Games Announces New Triple-A Title Release

May 19, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

2K Games has announced an untitled new Triple-A release for 2016.

2K Games, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands and Civilization V has announced today that they will be publishing a "major triple-A game" before March 2016.

The publisher did not disclose exactly what that game would be, only that it will be really big. The company's CEO Strauss Zelnick could neither confirm nor deny whether the game would be present at E3 2015, which is  set to take place next month in Los Angeles.

"We leave these announcements to the labels," he told MCV, stating simply that an official announcement will be made shortly.

2K Games is well known for publishing a new IP every year since 2007, releasing the likes of Borderlands, BioShock, and more. Given the success of Borderlands and Red Dead Redemption, a sequel to either of those games looks like the most likely thing that'll be announced at E3 2015.
