With The Witcher 3 almost upon us, CD Projekt Red has released not one but two day one patches for the game. The day one patch downloads automatically on both the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the PC.
The first patch weighs in at 482MB on the PS4 and 588MB on the Xbox One and brings the game up to version 1.01.
Here's what's in store:
Major changes:
- Support for DLCs
- Multiple stability issues fixed
- Overall performance improvements
Quests and game:
- Variety of cosmetic quest improvements
- Journal objective fixes
- Quest mapping fixes
- Dialogue flag fixes
- Quest balancing issues
- Scene triggering improvements
Gameplay systems:
- Boat behavior
- AI improvements
- NPC spawn strategy improvements
- Combat balancing
- UI optimizations
The second patch brings the game up to version 1.02 and adds cross country support for DLCs, which seems to have been an oversight that they left out in the first patch. No biggie. The patch weighs in at 487MB, however.
With the review embargo lifted for the game, you can expect to see more details about The Witcher 3 as they become available. We've since put out a guide for the game's graphics configuration options on the PC, which you can check out here.
