Far Cry 6 Players Agree That This Change Could Drastically Improve The Game

November 2, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Do you agree?

Far Cry fans have a brand new installment available this year. With Far Cry 6, we got a large open world map to explore and a tropical setting. Although, there have been some complaints about one particular attribute. It looks like players are a bit upset that NPCs are not as varied or as dense in this latest installment. Now on Reddit, players are chiming in on what Ubisoft should bring into the game.

As mentioned, Far Cry 6 is set in a tropical area. Within the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, there isn’t as much in terms of varied NPCs. That’s something we see in several open-world games. A lot of generic NPCs pop up, and even some same character designs will appear. An excellent example of a large map with several copied NPCs popping up is Cyberpunk 2077. Although, the game does show plenty of characters roaming around. On Reddit, a thread that has gained some popularity talks about the issues of a map feeling less dense.

For instance, the Libertad HQ has less than ten characters and the same feeling of empty locations carry over to FND bases. Overall, the game could feel more lively and interesting if more NPCs were roaming around. Also, having locations like Libertad HQ being full of characters is a pretty popular opinion online. But, again, that’s a common problem for plenty of open-world games.

Perhaps in a future update, we could see some areas featuring a bit more lively characters. Although, that’s purely speculation. We don’t know if Ubisoft has any specific plans to bring out more NPCs into the game. Regardless, there are likely quite a few players who have yet to hit the game, so seeing opinions like this pop up could sway newcomers to wait even longer before jumping into the game.

If you haven’t played Far Cry 6 yet, we might interest you in checking out our take on the game. In the video above, we have our Before You Buy coverage of the title, where we get our overall impressions of the title and provide some gameplay footage. Meanwhile, do you feel Ubisoft could improve the NPC density and variation for those who have played the game?
