iCEnhancer Comes to GTA 5 on PC, Improves Graphical Fidelity

May 8, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

GTA 5’s visuals are getting a graphical overhaul.

PC gamers who’ve played Grand Theft Auto 4 on their systems are most likely familiar with the ENB-based visual upgrade iCEnhancer mod, which improves the look of the game by a tremendous amount–to the point where it looks even better than most newly released titles on the platform.

Having given Liberty City a facelift, the makers of iCEnhancer have announced that they are now focusing their efforts on doing the same for Los Santos in the newly released Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PC. Development on the title is still early, but key developer HAyssam Keilany released some screenshots on the mod’s Facebook page. There’s also a video showcasing the mod in its pre-alpha state, courtesy of Overclock 3D. Check that out below:

Given the graphical fidelity of Grand Theft Auto 5 as it is by default, it can be dificult to see exactly what the improvements iCEnhancer brings to the table–at least early on. We look forward to seeing more progress on the mod in the coming weeks.
