Neverwinter Players Will Soon Experience Storylines From the Legendary R.A. Salvatore

May 6, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The legendary fantasy author R.A. Salvatore is lending his words to Neverwinter’s quests.

Writing from the creator of the legendary dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden are expected to grace the free-to-play cooperative online game Neverwinter in a new expansion set for release this year.

A set of quests written by Drizzt's creator R.A. Salvatore are set to be featured in the upcoming Neverwinter: Underdark, wherein players will accompany the character into the depths of the titular Underdark beneath the city of Menzoberranzan during an assault on the locale.

The expansion is set for release on the PC first, followed by the Xbox One version at a later time.

Beyond Neverwinter, fans of Drizzt can expect to see more adventures from the character with the release of Archmage, a new novel by R.A. Salvatore this September.

Finally, players of the tabletop roleplaying game D&D can descend into the Underdark in Out of the Abyss, a new adventure which provides details on the demon lords rampaging through the Underdark.
