Creatives Replace Stolen Equipment with The Magpie Collection

May 6, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Help indie devs, journalists and musicians in a tough spot.

A group of independent game developers, musicians and journalists who participated at the recent A MAZE festival in Berlin had some of their equipment stolen. Approximately 17,000 Euros worth of gear got stolen from them, leaving them without vital equipment.

Because they'd rather not put their hands out and ask for money through the use of a GoFundMe campaign, they've gotten together to launch The Magpie Collection, headed up by Stanley Parable's William Pugh. It's a one-off bundle of art, games, music and films made by folks such as Sos Sosowski (McPixel), Bram Ruiter (Super Game Jam) and Luke Spierewka (SUPERHOT).

For donating, you get a bundle of 10 exclusive games and various pieces of art, music, and films made by the people behind The Magpie Collection.

The bundle starts at 10 Euros, and runs for the next thirty days.

Check it out here.

Full disclosure: I am acquainted with some of the individuals whose stuff got stolen and have personally backed the collection.
