Hellblade Development Diary Discusses Performance Capture

April 28, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

On a low budget, innovation is key.

Hellblade is currently being developed by the same crew that created Heavenly Sword back in 2006. It's been a long time since the studio's last outing, but if all goes according to plan, we should see what they've been working on hit store shelves by year's end. If you were a fan of Heavenly Sword, then you're in luck, as Hellblade looks to feature a lot of the same key elements and insipirations. This is something that Ninja Theory has discussed in one of their many development diaries.

The esteemed studio has published their most recent development diary, which discusses performance capture technology and how they have navigated such dastardly waters on a tight budget. It's all very interesting and you can see how the developer's innovation has really spurred creativity within the studio.

Check it out right here:

Hellblade will release for both Playstation 4 and PC platforms at a nondescript time in 2015. We're betting that it arrives just before the holidays or gets pushed back to sometime in 2016.
