The Assassin's Creed franchise never had humble beginnings. The first game in the series was a mega popular title that entranced gamers for hours on end. No one had ever played a historical action game that was of this caliber. While publisher and developer Ubisoft might have played around with the real history of the era, the buildings and languages in the game were built with unwavering accuracy.
Patrice Desilets, who was the original creative director for Assassin's Creed, is apparently working on his own game right now. He's going to be giving a keynote tomorrow morning as a part of the Reboot Develop event in Dubrovnik, Croatia. During this presentation, we believe that Desilets will announce his next project. An exchange between Desilets and another Twitter user reveal why:

Desilets currently works at Panache Digital, where this is the development mantra:
We promise to deliver the very best quality experiences that our fans will enjoy.
We value stepping out of the boundaries, doing things with Panache. We value beauty, originality and fun. We value growth, in our ideas, in our minute-to-minute execution, in our teams. We value our fans and what they say, what they feel. We value dialogue throughout all productions.
