Overlord 3 Appears to be a Four-Player Co-Op Game

April 22, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The new Overlord game from Codemasters appears to be a four-player co-op game.

Codemasters has released a new trailer teasing the existence of a new Overlord game, presumably titled Overlord 3, which details what happened in the two previous titles in a "last time on Overlord" type thing before segueing into a glimpse of what appear to be four new Overlords.

The clip then cuts to a scene of a top-down game, which I managed to screenshot as it appears only for a split second. The scenes give the impression that the new Overlord title is a top-down four-player co-op game.

It's unknown at this point as to how the game will play, but it looks like there will be four players on screen at any given time, as there appear to be four player slots on each corner of the screen. Will it play like Helldivers and Magicka? Only time will tell. I certainly hope that's the case, because there's no such thing as having too many cooperative multiplayer games.
