King's Quest: Your Legacy Awaits is the reboot of a monumental franchise. In fact, many would argue that modern adventure games are built upon the foundation of King's Quest. The title was revealed at the 2014 Video Game Awards to massive amounts of applause. The title is being developed by independent developer "The Odd Gentlemen," who is working in conjunction with publisher Sierra Entertainment. Sierra was the company who originally worked on King's Quest.
Today, we get an inside look at the development currently taking place on Your Legacy Awaits. Sierra Games' Youtube channel has recently begun a four part behind the scenes video series that will highlight development of the game. The excitement surrounding the studio over at The Odd Gentlemen is palpable, which makes is making us anticipate the game's release even more.
Sadly, the title won't be released until much later this year. It's only designated release date at this time comes in the form of "Q3/Q4 2015." That's an extremely vague timeline, so we'll just have to wait and enjoy the development diaries as they come.
