Death Stranding Absent From GeForce Now On Xbox Consoles

Oct 26, 2021 Dennis Patrick

It looks like there’s no workaround for Death Stranding on Xbox consoles.

There was a ton of anticipation to see just where Hideo Kojima would go after his departure from Konami. The legendary developer could have ended up in a few notable studios, but the iconic creator opened his studio rather than work for another company. As a result, Kojima Productions would allow Hideo Kojima to craft games the way he wants to without sacrificing creative freedom. Fortunately, it’s worked out for him with their debut title, Death Stranding.

The game was a big hit for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. But, unfortunately, other console platforms were left out. That has left quite a few players frustrated that the game is not available to them. However, there might have been some hopeful GeForce Now would change that. Recently GeForce Now beta has went out for Xbox Edge web browsers and it allows players to dive into a new catalog of video games.

If you’re unfamiliar with GeForce Now, it’s another cloud-based service. This service allows players to pay a fee and gain access to playing your PC video games through servers rather than your actual hardware. For players dealing with hardware incapable of running the latest games, GeForce Now was a big help. Unfortunately, those hopeful Death Stranding would be present for Xbox Edge browsers will find the game missing.

It looks like the game is not available through the Xbox console browser. Unfortunately, that means the console exclusivity for the game is still holding. This is also despite the game being published by a different company than Sony on the PC platform. Regardless, it seems that those of you who want to play Death Stranding will still have to resort to the PC platform or through the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
