PlayStation 5 Restock Coming To Select GameStop Locations This Week

October 26, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

In-store locations will have limited stock.

It’s tough finding stock readily available for the latest generation of video game console platforms. These consoles were released last year, and despite being nearly a year old, we can’t find them in the marketplaces. While some consumers have had some luck, the rest of us are waiting on restocks to happen at our local retailers. Unfortunately, things are going to be rough from here on out as we approach the holiday season.

Some retailers have been offering some alerts as to when their next restock is set to happen. Other times we have to rely on leaks to come out. Fortunately, it looks like official word got out that GameStop is doing some restocks this month. Consumers looking for a PlayStation 5 can potentially obtain one this October 29, 2021. This comes with some limitations outside of the already limited stock coming to the various store locations. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like every GameStop is going to receive stock.

Instead, there are only a few locations, including Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco, Raleigh, and Philadelphia. These might be limited locations for consumers, but it’s at least spread around the country a bit. There’s another limitation that consumers will deal with if they opt to visit a GameStop location within those cities. Don’t expect to come out of the store with just a PlayStation 5 unit.

GameStop is doing bundles which means you’re paying an inflated price. Rather than offer consumers just a console unit for purchase, you have likely extra controllers to video games attached. It’s an inflated price for the bundle, but you get some more content to enjoy the new video game console.
