Guild Wars 2: Stronghold PvP Mode Will be Playable for 24 Hours

April 9, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

Guild Wars 2 "Stronghold" PvP is coming soon.

Guild Wars 2 developer ArenaNet has announced that it will be having a public beta for the game's upcoming "Stronghold" PvP mode. This mode allows players and their allies to invade an opposing fortress, kill their lord and – hopefully – merge victorious.

The beta that ArenaNet has planned will be available for only 24 hours. The test is available to all Guild Wars 2 players currently residing in North America and Europe.

If you're not yet sold on Guild Wars 2, but expect that this might be what brings you in, then ArenaNet wants to make sure you see the content. They're going to be streaming up until and through the start of the beta, which begins on April 14, 2015.

During this 24 hour period, Stronghold will be the mode available to players in Unranked Arena. However, players will still be able to access ranked play for the game's usual "Conquest" mode.

If you want to go ahead and set aside some time to watch the festivities, you can refer to ArenaNet’s Twitch stream schedule.
