This Sims 4 Mod Lets You Lock Doors

April 7, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Locking doors will prevent strangers from entering your Sims’ most private spaces.

Ever wish you could lock doors in The Sims 4? With a newly released mod by Scumbumbo, you can do that now.

In order for the door locking mod to work, the doors in question must be owned by the player character. Simply click on the door and "Enable Lock". It's even possible to lock arches and prevent Sims from walking through them, as nonsensical as that may be.

Doors can be locked in a variety of ways, including locking them to all sims, thereby allowing players to imprison Sims within rooms, or prevent them from entering rooms; visitors only; male sims only; female sims only; and children only. It makes sense that you wouldn't want visitors entering into your bedroom, for example. The mod's pretty handy like that.

If you'd like to download the mod, head on over to ModtheSims and grab it. You'll need the latest version of The Sims 4 (1.5.139.1210) to ensure maximum compatibility. It'll probably work on older versions, too–it just hasn't been tested on them.
