Dying Light Gets #BadBatch Broken Physics For April 1

Techland has added a fun little change to Dying Light, going live exclusively for April 1.

Billed as the result of a temporary contaminated antizine, the change will have you dropping your weapons and running through the streets with your fists, Streets of Rage style. Broken physics have been activated, making it so that practically any punch and kick you dole out will lead to a zombie flying across the air.

You can strike them in such a way that they get instakilled, by making them drop on their heads, or have their backs strike against the right side of a wall.

You even get a completely unreal dropkick, that doesn’t lead to the camera shifting perspective as two legs move in front of your face to take out whatever zombie is going after you.

Techland wants fans to tweet pictures from their April 1 playthrough using the hashtag #BadBatch. Are you logging in to your game to give this a try? This seems to be a pretty good way to commemorate April Fool’s without pulling any annoying pranks. Share your thoughts with us about it on the comments.
