Dragon’s Dogma Online Preview Revealed

March 16, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Capcom’s upcoming online game has a lot of flexibility with its lobbies.

Capcom shared a teaser for Dragon’s Dogma Online, and we have footage for you here. Note that the footage was streamed live on Nicovideo, then reuploaded to YouTube. The video’s quality is not expected to reflect the quality of the final product.

A lobby can have as many as 100 players, with each player able to match between servers, as well as warping to their friend’s servers. Quest boards restart every day, so it’s worth checking every day too.

Quests come in all types, including smaller solo quests, and main quests that advance the story.

There are communication elements, that aren’t exactly chat. For example, you can communicate via motions and voices set phrases.

Dragon’s Dogma Online’s map is three times the size of Dragon’s Dogma. There is a variety of battle terrain, including the forest, lake, mines, and more. Playable classes shown in the footage include th Fighter, Shield Soldier, Priest, and Hunter.

Orcs are a major enemy. You will fight them a lot in the game, and they come in many varieties. Part of the story involves taking down an orc stronghold.

Dragon’s Dogma Online is due out as a free-to-play title for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. You can see the footage above.
