Cities: Skylines Sells 250,000 Copies in 24 Hours

March 12, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Cities: Skylines is the fastest selling Paradox Interactive title to date.

Paradox Interactive and developer Colossal Order have announced that its recently released city-building simulator Cities: Skyline has garnered over 250,000 sales over during the first 24 hours of its release—shattering records at Paradox.

The 250,000 figure includes pre-orders for the game and breaks records at Paradox as its best-selling game in the same period of time. It’s a remarkable development for such a small team.

I have a review currently in the works, but I can say that fans of the SimCity franchise will be happy to know that the game far exceeds the quality of 2013’s SimCity from Maxis (now defunct) or Cities XXL.

If you've yet to pick up the game, you can do so at heavily discounted prices here.
