Evolve: Log On This Weekend For Gold Monster Skins

March 5, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Players who log on to play Evolve this weekend will get gold monster skins.

Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games are holding a new promotion for Evolve. Anyone who logs onto the title between 9PM PST tonight and 9PM PST on Sunday will receive the Turtle Rock Gold Skin for the game's three monsters: the Goliath, Kraken, and Wraith.

This skin was previously only available to developers of the game and no one else. Now everyone is able to get their hands on it and it's no longer special, but that's okay because it's gold and looks cool, right?

"We developed these exclusively for our development team," Turtle Rock explained in a blog post. "This beautiful molten-gold skin helps identify developers in-game and generally make us feel good about the time we put in to making Evolve. It's bold. It's distinct. It's shiny."

Dubbed the Hunt for Gold weekend, this event is the first in a serie sof community challenges that will take place over the upcoming months. Future challenges may require that players actually do something besides logging online, Turtle Rock says.

The game is out now for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
