The Division: Alpha Tester Convinced Game Will Release This Year, Shares More Details

March 2, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

We have new details on the Dark Zones.

An alpha tester has shared new details on the current build of Tom Clancy’s The Division. Among other things, the tester is sure that the game will see release this year.

The enemy AI leans towards the aggressive side. They will be good at taking cover, so make sure to take aim carefully.

This source also confirms the different customization systems. Weapons can be customized. Items can be crafted, with color coding on specific objects. You will also get to pick out your own clothes.

Our source also sheds more light on the Dark Zones. These are outside the regulated social areas, which players can enter via decontamination chambers. Players can enter the chambers in groups of four. The game’s servers can accommodate as many as 100 concurrent players in one social area.

If you find something in the Dark Zone, it needs to be decontaminated before you can use it. You will be able to pick up objects with highlights. You will also get an indicator for how rare these items are.

The alpha tester got to play in an area the size of downtown Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto 5. As Massive have explained before, the final game will have a much bigger world to play in.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be releasing in 2015 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
