Sierra to Publish Velocity X2 to Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux

February 25, 2015 by Stephen Daly

FuturLab says they will continue to work with Sony and "still loves PlayStation".

Velocity X2 developer FuturLab has announced that Sierra is to publish the hitherto PlayStation-exclusive game on Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.

The studio adds that their deal with Sierra, revived last year by Activision, will continue beyond Velocity X2 but stresses that while they're speading their wings, FuturLab remains committed to PlayStation platforms. In a Q&A on the developer's website, the site commented:

"What no PlayStation love? Don’t you worry about that, FuturLab still loves PlayStation and its loyal players, and we’ll continue to work closely with Sony to make sure the fan base we’ve worked hard to build is well served."

Velocity X2 was a great game when it launched last year and this deal means more players will get to experience it. FuturLab will also retain control of their IP as part of the deal, so it's possible the game could recieve a sequel.
