One of the biggest video games last year to swarm the public is Among Us. The video game was a sleeper hit as it was released a few years ago. However, its popularity only surfaced last year. With that said, players worldwide can’t get enough of this game, and it’s left plenty of mods to be implemented online to bring out even more content. However, fans across all platforms will find the next update to come out will be a substantial one.
A new update from the developers has confirmed that the next update will bring new roles to the game. While the roles initially for the title were centered around crew and impostors, there were roles that developers wanted to include before releasing the game. According to the developer post, it was noted that these roles were thought of a long time ago, but due to not having enough time to develop them, they were abandoned.
But we’ve been pretty quiet about what we were exactly working on, haven’t we? Well – one thing I CAN tell you is our next *gameplay* update will be focused on implementing new roles. Which ones? That’s a secret. How many? Uh, also a secret. (More than 2.) (Maybe 3.) (Could be 4.) We also have another update planned around the same time, but I can’t say anything about that one yet.
Unfortunately, that’s all we know so far about the update. The developers didn’t offer anything in terms of what these roles are. Apparently, they will be different from what we see with mods right now on the PC platform. Likewise, we don’t know just how many roles will be added to the game. So the roles are a mystery, and so are how many of them will be included. Still, that has us quite interested in seeing how the game will evolve when the update launches.
Fortunately, every platform will receive the update. So no one is being left behind here, and there’s even another update said to come out around the same time the developers are ready to release the new roles. That next update coming out doesn’t have any details right now. Unfortunately, the developers are not prepared to talk about it, but that should mean plenty of inbound content for the popular online multiplayer social game.
