Rise of the Tomb Raider Concept Artwork Depicts Lara Croft in Chilly Siberia

February 8, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Lara traverses the Siberian forest in a new artwork series.

Some new pieces of concept art have surfaced over at Game Informer of the upcoming game from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, Rise of the Tomb Raider.

The artwork depicts a snowcapped mountainside, a dark, snowy forest, a lift attached to some decrepit buildings, and an interior shot of a warmer environment in what appears to be better times for the game’s intrepid heroine, Lara Croft.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to launch as a holiday exclusive on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, but there’s a good chance it’ll be released on the PS3, PS4 and PC at some point in the future—although neither its developers nor its publishers have given any hint as to when exactly that might be.

If you’ve yet to pick up the previous Tomb Raider, you can do so on Steam where it’s currently enjoying an 80% discount thanks to Square Enix’s weekend sale.
