Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide Announced for Late 2015

February 5, 2015 by Stephen Daly

It’s a co-op FPS action game.

Swedish indie developer Fatshark has today announced Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, a co-op action FPS set during the End Times of Game Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy universe.

The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program.

Players will have five heroes to choose from in the game, with each offering a different playstyle and abilities, as well as their own unique gear. Working together, players will need to fend off an invasion from the rampaging Skaven in a game which focuses on the city of Ubersreik but which will take you from the Under Empire to the top of the Magnus Tower.

"Combining gritty combat with cooperative multiplayer action, Vermintide will provide the player with a completely new perspective of the Warhammer Fantasy universe, through the eyes of the heroes they play,” Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, commented in a press release. “Staying true to the fantasy lore, with familiar foes and locations, we look forward to winning the hearts of enthusiasts and newcomers with this new take on the Warhammer story."

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is set for release during the second half of 2015.
