Battlefield: Hardline Will Probably Boast a Premium Service

February 4, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

Not much of a surprise.

Battlefield: Hardline will continue the popular franchise's assault on the first-person gaming marketing after its release next month. The game sports a March 17 release date, and will be making its way to PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Some data pertinent to in-game items has recently been revealed, and it looks like there is some very leading information equipped to the description of one 'Shark Patch,' an in-game cosmetic item that players wear on their shoulder:

“Premium subscribers will find these Patches in Silver and Gold Battlepacks.”

This pretty much assures the continuation of Battlefield's premium content system, which has offered gamers exclusive content since Battlefield 3. The Premium service works just like Season Passes in other titles, but there are a few extra gifts offered to players throughout their subscription period.

You can pre-order the base edition of Hardline for $59.99 or buy into the deluxe edition for $69.99, which will provide the following enhancements to your gameplay experience:

  • Versatility Battlepack featuring a highly versatile assault rifle, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and an XP boost.
  • Precision Battlepack featuring one of the most accurate assault rifles, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and an XP boost.
  • Suppression Battlepack featuring an assault rifle with the largest magazine capacity, a unique camo skin for all your weapons, and an XP boost.
  • 10 Gold Battlepacks from launch.
