Final Fantasy 14 Getting Free Weekend Promo For Inactive Subscribers

January 29, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

It’s a chance to check out what’s been new in the game prior to the release of its first true expansion, Heavensward.

Square Enix has unveiled a new free weekend promo for inactive subscribers to Final Fantasy 14.

This is only for people who registered their copies of the game, and are currently in inactive status. So if you have an active subscription, you don’t get a freebie on this one, but chances are some old friends will be back. If you are not sure if your account is in inactive status, you can check on the Mog Station here.

The free period will start tomorrow, January 30, 12 AM PST, to February 2, 12 AM PST.

Since the game was released, Final Fantasy 14 has had five content packs, with the last once completing the Crystal Tower. Prior to the first official expansion, Heavensward, coming spring of this year,  even more content is on the way, including Triple Triad, Chocobo racing, and more.

Will you be logging in to catch up? Will you wait for the expansion Heavensward? Or has the game lost your interest? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
