Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Soundtrack Getting Blu-Ray Release

January 27, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Having the album on Blu-Ray means Square Enix can add bonus videos.

Square Enix is publishing the soundtrack for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

The album will be on Blu-Ray Disc in Japan for 5,000 yen. It includes 62 songs from Final Fantasy Type-0 and Final Fantasy Agito, 10 bonus tracks from composer Takeharu Ishimoto’s “Best of Collection” via MP3, and a completely new track. The MP3s can be transferred to your PS3 as well as your standard PC with Blu-Ray reader. Please remember that audio playback is still limited on PS4.

Having the album on Blu-Ray means Square Enix can add bonus videos, including a voiceless version of the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD trailer, a music video for the new original track, and an interview between Ishimoto and Hajime Tabata.

No word on whether the soundtrack could see a Western release for now. Perhaps Square Enix in America / Europe can offer it via their online store for digital download.
