Deep Silver, Reloaded Games, and The Workshop Entertainment have announced a deal which will see APB Reloaded released as a free-to-play game for PS4 and Xbox One.
The game will be available this spring on console and features in-game purchases for customisation items, vehicles, and gear. PS4 owners will not need a PlayStation Plus account to play APB Reloaded but Xbox One players will require an Xbox Live Gold account.
Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver, commented in a press release, “APB Reloaded has become a phenomenon on the PC with a very passionate and faithful community. We are really thrilled to help Reloaded Games and The Workshop bring this fantastic world to life on the new generation consoles.”
The Workshop Entertainment had a hand in bringing The Evil Within to consoles and helped create Borderland 2's Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage DLC with Gearbox.
Since its December 2011 PC release, APB has attracted over five million players.
