In many big cities, you are sure to find a few privately owned eateries and hangouts that cater to the adult gaming nerd — places like the bar-arcade fusion joint Bart in Orlando, FL, for example. But what if one of the big gaming giants were to try its hand at such an establishment? Would you, say, like to dine at a Pac-Man-themed restaurant owned by Bandai Namco?
If you would, you're in luck! Just such a place is opening up early this year in Chicago, IL. Level 257 — named after the kill screen that appears after clearing 256 levels of the original Pac-Man arcade game — will be located at the Woodfield Mall in what was once a Sears warehouse. The 180-seat venue will feature a high-end bar, fire pits, a 16-lane bowling alley, an arcade section (of course!), and a Pac-Man gift shop.
The restaurant is still hiring, should you be in the area and desire work under the watchful eyes of the Pac. I know if I'm ever in town, I wouldn't mind putting Level 257 through its proper paces!
