It's been a while since the Xenoblade Chronicles X team started sharing production details on Twitter. Today's update, however, ought to get Western fans quite excited: Producer Shingo Kawabata introduced himself through a series of tweets (translated by Siliconera), during which he confirmed that localization is already in progress.
We've known for a long while now that the game would be brought overseas close to its Japanese release — in comparison, it was some time after the original Xenoblade Chronicles hit Japan that we heard so much as a peep regarding localization. During the Japanese version of last week's Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that the game would arrive there on April 29. However, the American Direct still listed a vague "2015." This news ought to hopefully assuage concerns that X is at risk of delay.
Xenoblade Chronicles X will be ready for Wii U later this year.
