Battlefield 2 Pre-Orders Beaten by BF3’s by 2,000 %

Battlefield 2 pre-orders have been beaten by Battlefield 3 by 2,000 percent.

Amazon UK has revealed Battlefield 3 has beaten its predecessors' pre-orders by a substantial amount.

The online retailer has stated that the pre-orders for Battlefield 3 is up by an astonishing 2,302 percent against the Battlefield 2.

Amazon also released more pre-order figures for other blockbuster titles; Modern Warfare 3's are up 321 percent from Call of Duty: Black Ops. FIFA 12, meanwhile, are up by 325 %  when compared to FIFA 11.

Microsoft's Gears of War 3 has a 216 percent increase from its predecessor. Finally, Batman: Arkham City's pre-orders are up by 349 from Batman: Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 3's are up by 488 percent from Among Thieves.

Battlefield 3, clearly, is surpassing all expectations with analysts expecting the game to sell over 11 million units. The shooter, currently in development from DICE, is due for a release on October 25th, 2011.
