Project Treasure Is a 4-Player FTP Game From Bandai Namco

January 14, 2015 by Tony Ponce

No official title or release date just yet.

Bandai Namco had several announcements during today's Nintendo Direct, such as the Western confirmation of the amiibo-enabled Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy Plus. Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada also appeared during the stream, but it wasn't to talk about Pokken Tournament. No, he revealed a brand-new Wii U exclusive codenamed "Project Treasure."

What is "Project Treasure"? It's a four-player co-operative game with a focus on collecting treasure. It'll also be available on eShop as a free-to-play title. Aaaand… that's about it. We don't even have a screen or release window. We did see some close-ups of character portraits, though they may or may not be directly related to this game. Will this be a cutesy romp or something a little more serious?

We'll hear more about "Project Treasure" in due time, I'm sure.
