The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D for Nintendo 3DS will be released on February 13th, along with a limited-edition Majora's Mask-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo announced during its latest Direct event today.
Regular versions of the New 3DS XL will also be available on that date and you can see the themed handheld above, despite the branding, this special edition does not include a copy of the game.
During the Nintendo Direct (skip to 45:11), the company said Majora's Mask is an "emotional experience and with New Nintendo 3DS XL, you'll be ever more immersed in this classic gaming world thanks to its face tracking 3D technology."
The system has already sold out on GameStop's website, with the retailer telling Polygon, "Online, the [Majora's] Mask bundle sold out within 15 minutes. However, customers can still order one by visiting any of our stores. This order will have to be paid in-full at a store, and can be shipped to the customers home, rather than having to go to the store for pick-up."
Nintendo has also released new gameplay footage and a video of the Majora's Mask edition itself, both of which you can see below.
