Turn 10 and Microsoft Game Studios have revealedForza Motorsport 6, once again exclusive to the Xbox One.
The announcement was made during Ford’s unveiling of the new Ford GT, and commemorates the ten year anniversary of the Forza franchise itself. Ford and Turn 10 have penned a deal to make the Ford GT the game’s cover vehicle, and to also bring Ford’s performance vehicle line up into the game. The Ford GT, Shelby GT350 Mustang, and the F-150 Raptor, all unveiled by Ford today, will all be in the game, and of course you can expect other cars in the near future.
This comes only two years after Forza Motorsport 5, which received criticism for its amount of content, but still holds the record for the fastest selling title in Xbox history. In fact, this also marks four consecutive years that there has been a Forza game of some kind. Although they have not shared any release dates, considering Turn 10 already has two Xbox One games under their belt, it seems safe to assume that they are more than capable of bringing this game out this year.
And really, it is hard to share this news without comparing the output of their closest competitors, Evolution Studios with Driveclub and Polyphony Digital with their 2016-bound Gran Turismo 7. How do you feel Turn 10 has held up against its competitors? Do you think Gran Turismo 7 will change your perception when it comes out? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
