Majora’s Mask 3D: Bombers’ Notebook Has Been Updated

January 12, 2015 by Tony Ponce

Also, new feather statues let you save the game at any time.

Like Ocarina of Time 3D before it, the upcoming Majora's Mask remake for 3DS will see several tweaks in order to streamline the experience for new and returning players. One of those tweaks involves the Bombers' Notebook, an item that tracks NPCs' daily schedules and takes note whenever you solve their problems.

In an interview with the UK magazine GamesMaster — as relayed by Nintendo Everything — producer Eiji Aonuma explains how Shigeru Miyamoto suggested that "hidden events" are highlighted in a way so players can discover them more easily:

We were told by Mr. Miyamoto that he felt there were a lot of users who finished the original without even noticing all the hidden events scattered around the town. He said that he wanted us to make sure users were more aware of them this time around.

Meanwhile, NeoGAF discovered that the Amazon Germany product page for the game makes mention of new "feather statues" for saving your progress. As you might recall, there were two saving methods in the original: temporary saves at Owl Statues and permanent saves by playing the Ocarina of Time to restart from the first day. These feather statues are yet another option, allowing you to save your game at any time. Does that mean permanent saves unlike the Owl Statues? I guess we'll learn more later.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D arrives for 3DS later this year.
