Evolve has recently gone gold. To celebrate, Turtle Rock Studios has shared the game’s opening cinematic, and also pulled through with an earlier pledge to donate to Child’s Play.
To be clear, the donations aren’t connected to preorders. What happened is Turtle Rock started a generous “No Shave ‘Til Ship” donation drive, where the men are not shaving their beards, and the women are not cutting their hair, until such time as when the game ships.

Every inch that grows, they will donate $ 50 to Child’s Play. Thus far, the were able to raise $ 11,375, and publisher 2K Games matched this amount, so the donation will now be adding up to $ 22,750.
Turtle Rock’s immediate focus at this point, is Evolve’s open beta, exclusive to Xbox One on the 15th, with a smaller beta coming for PC players the day after.
Evolve will be released on February 10 on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
