Broken Age Act 2 Will Get a Simultaneous Retail Release

January 7, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Nordic Games is teaming up with Double Fine to bring the game to stores.

Publisher Nordic Games has announced that it will be releasing a physical retail release of Double Fine's Broken Age.

The episodic game will now be available on disc for PC, Mac, and Linux, "simultaneously" with the release of the final act.

Double Fine's Greg Rice commented last month that the developer plans "to launch on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS Vita, iOS, Ouya and Android next spring as close to simultaneously as human possible." That was before the announcements of this physical edition, so the California based developer will be pretty busy come the spring.

Broken Age originallly raised $3.3 million in funding on Kickstarter but Double Fine expanded the scope of the project and split the game in two. The first episode was released in January 2014 and the second will be available at some point over the coming months.
