GTA 5: Christmas Festivities Leave the Game World

January 6, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

Until next year, folks.

Grand Theft Auto 5 brought gamers a ton of new content for Christmas. There were additions to the game encompassing a whole range of gear and equipment, and many would argue that it revitalized the game for a short time. That said, it's not like Grand Theft Auto 5 needed much revitalization in the first place.

Well, yesterday all that ended. Rockstar Studios, the game's developer, took down all of the seasonal effects. There are some gamers who are actually miffed by the situation, as they argue that the seasonal elements should have remained in the game. The majority of the crowd fully expected this change, however, and looks forward to next year's festivities.

It takes the special feeling that comes with Christmas away if all of the content remains year-round. Think about all of the cool events that are going to happen for different holidays throughout the year. Nobody wants Valentine's Day and Christmas smashed together.
