Minecraft Now Being Translated Into LOLCAT

January 2, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Translation project head Jens Bergensten announced it himself.

Mojang dev Jens Bergensten has made a funny little addition to his Minecraft translation project: the game is being translated to LOLCAT.

In case you thought this was a fabrication, the LOLCAT translation page is right here and it is 10 % done as of this writing. LOLCAT joins the 54 partial translations that need completing, which also includes Pirate English.

Thanks to crowdsourced translation platform Crowdin, Minecraft has received complete translations for six languages; French, German, Korean, Spanish, and French and English for Canadians. There are also 21 translations that are technically completed, but haven’t been voted on.

Is one of your first languages in this list? You may want to join in on the project to help bring the game to Minecraft players in your region. You can start out with the Crowdin quick guide here.
