Kojima isn’t shy about making light of Metal Gear Solid, so why can’t the fans do the same? A fan has made a funny Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes fan video recasting the series protagonist.
In this fan trailer, child soldier Chico is now the hero and star of his own video game. Chico suddenly takes on Snake’s seeming invulnerability, and takes on trained soldiers with ease.
Of course, this trailer is a bit of a dark comedy, considering what actually happens to Chico in Ground Zeroes. Still, it’s funny to see the mod break down, when it becomes clear that Snake has merely been reskinned to look like Chico. Since Chico is considerably shorter than Snake, the reskin causes him to appear to quasi float while walking and standing, and to have strangely wide reach.
After Kojima himself trolled fans with a chicken hat this month, it seems fitting to share this as well.
