With all the talk of Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, you might have forgotten that there is yet another big Final Fantasy game on the horizon: Final Fantasy Explorers. This 3DS spinoff will arrive on 3DS in Japan in just three short days, and to whet fans' appetites, Square Enix held an FFE livestream. Check out a recording of that stream above.
Final Fantasy Explorers once more places heavy emphasis on job classes, like Monk, Dragoon, White Mage, etc. It borrows from the Crystal Chronicles sub-series in that you'll take on quests one at a time, during which you can team up with three friends locally or online. It'll also allow for the use of a second analog stick either through the New 3DS hardware or the Circle Pad Pro peripheral. Unfortunately, stereoscopic 3D has been completely disabled for the title.
Again, Final Fantasy Explorers hits Japan on December 18. Even though the game was trademarked in Europe earlier this year, we've yet to hear official confirmation of a Western release.
