Today at the PlayStation Experience event, Sony has announced a huge batch of new games coming to the PlayStation 4, among them is a sequel to Fat Princess, which digitally debuted on PS3 in 2009. Entitled Fat Princess Adventures, this new entry in the action-RTS series looks adorable as ever, boasting fast paced co-op RPG hack and slash gameplay and a host of fresh features.
Fat Princess Adventure will star the four classes (Mage, Engineer, Archer and Warrior) with the all new addition of upgrades in the form of armor, weapons, spells, and accessories. Each will also have new combat moves including a special ability called Awesome Sauce that promises to turn them into a "a cake-fueled engine of earth-shaking destruction."
The theme of the game remains mostly unchanged, but the princesses can now fight alongside the player in addition to being rescued. This will perhaps please some would-be fans of the series, as the original faced some allegations of sexism and fat-shaming within criticism circles. A PS Vita version, Fat Princess: Fistful Of Cake, was released in 2010.
Check out the announcement trailer above and the screeshots below. Fat Princess Adventures will make its way to PlayStation 4 sometime in 2015.
