Sony has announced that Yakuza 5 will be making its way to the North America and Europe at its PlayStation Experience conference today. The game’s Western release is a collaboration between publisher Sega and Sony to bring the game outside of Japanese territories, where it’s currently out.
According to Sony, the decision to bring the game to the WEst was a result of Sony’s “buidling the list” campaign, in which PlayStation fans submitted which games they’d like to see come to the PS4 and Vita.
"After receiving so many requests from fans of the series, we have decided to bring Yakuza 5 to the US and Europe," series creator Toshihiro Nagoashi said in a statement. "This title was enjoyed by over one million gamers in Japan. I'm looking forward to seeing how Yakuza 5 will be received by the gamers in the U.S. and Europe."
Additionally, Sega also announced that Yakuza 4 and the spinoff title Yakuza: Dead Souls will be available on the PlayStation Network starting today so fans of the series will finally have a chance to play them.
