Dragon Age: Inquisition Minimum Level for Zones Guide

December 5, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Wondering what level you need to be to adequately deal with the challenges in Dragon Age: Inquisition? This guide will help.

Dragon Age: Inquisition isn’t like Skyrim in the sense that the game doesn’t automatically level the monsters you fight against or keep them at parity with the player’s party. Instead, every zone in the game has monsters that range between certain levels. Some, but not all enemies scale to your level.

In other words, it’s a bad idea for a low level player to go to certain locations early in the game, as you’ll be massively underleveled for the area and face a stiff, perhaps even impossible challenge.

With that in mind, members of the Dragon Age community on reddit have compiled a minimum level range guide to ease players into the game.

  • Haven: 1+ (1-4)
  • Hinterlands: 2+ (4-7, 8-12)
  • Val Royeaux: 4+ (4-6)
  • Storm Coast: 5+ (7-11, 13-15)
  • Fallow Mire: 8+ (8-10, 12-15)
  • Forbidden Oasis: 8+ (8-12, 5-15, 18-20)
  • Skyhold: 10+
  • Crestwood: 10+ (10-13)
  • Western Approach: 10+ (10-14)
  • Exalted Plains: 10+ (10-16)
  • Emerald Graves: 12+ (14-20)
  • Emprise du Lion: 16+ (16-22)
  • Hissing Wastes: 16+ (19-23)
