Halo 5: Guardians Beta: Watch an Hour of Multiplayer Gameplay

December 2, 2014 by Stephen Daly

A full range of abilities are on display, as well as two maps.

Halo 5: Guardians' beta kicks off from December 27th, so to get yourself ready we have an hour's worth of footage from last month's HaloFest to show you.

The video, by YouTube's Ready Up Live, features two maps (Empire and Crossfire), as well as all of the abilities included in Halo 5. Stabilizer, Ground Pound, Clamber, Thruster Pack, Spartan Charge, and Slide are just of the abilities to make into the game and all appear in the video.

The Guardians beta will last three weeks from its start date, and the only known way to enter is to have purchased a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Developer 343 Industries says it will be a "real" beta designed to test the game ahead of its release sometime in late 2015.

Hopefully the beta launch will be somewhat smoother than that of The Masterchief Collection, which suffered a wide range of matchmaking issues. The video is below, and gives you a pretty good idea of what to look forward to.
