It's been a few months since we talked about The Deer God, the Kickstarted Metroidvania with a pixel art style highly reminiscent of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. The good news is that the campaign met its base goal and hit a few stretch goals, which will guarantee that the game comes to Windows, OS X, Linux, Ouya, Wii U, and Xbox One. Sadly, the 3DS, PS Vita, and PS4 goals weren't reached, but that doesn't necessarily mean ports won't appear there eventually.
The big news today is that The Deer God will soon arrive on Steam Early Access for $9.99. How soon? Try December 2. This will be the game's first beta, and it will be available for roughly one month. The full version of The Deer God is on track for early next year.
