Dragon Age: Inquisition Secretly Has A Game Bug Affecting Many Players

November 27, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

The bug is not game breaking, but as of right now, few are playing the game the way Bioware intended it to be experienced.

Bioware is discreetly handling a major, but not game-breaking, bug in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Ardent Dragon Age fans know that one very prominent feature of the games is that the companions chatter all the time. It seems like a minor feature, but this helps immerse the player into the game world, investing him or her into the experience. It also helps Bioware discreetly give fans easy access to the game’s lore, and possibly even drop a spoiler or hint or two.

Many Dragon Age: Inquisition fans have noticed that the companions are not as talkative this time around, and there’s a reason for that. Unfortunately, this is a bug and not an intentional omission, and Bioware is hard at work figuring out where the problem is and talking to players.

Bioware did not make an announcement to all players about this, but they did seek out players who invested over 60 hours of gameplay and asked them to share their save files so they can find the bug.

Whatever the case, this isn’t a bug that causes the screen to black out, or ruin the game in other ways, so you should be able to keep playing the game just fine. Expect a notification from Bioware when this bug is fixed so you can play the game the way it was meant to be experienced.
